One
of the most common determining factors for selecting a location to live
is the quality of public schools in the area. Also, the presence of private schools, parochial schools, colleges
and universities generally add to the cultural life of the area around
them. For this reason, we have dedicated considerable resources on this
website to the educational environment of the states within my
professional reach. Please use these resources as you see fit.

Complete List of Independent Institutions (Acrobat PDF) |
Because
Florida covers a much larger area than Rhode Island, and has a much
larger population, it is difficult to be sure that we have included all
public schools, high schools, and private and parochial schools. Our best attempt has been made for the colleges and
universities, and for law schools (just because they were available...
we can debate how close one would want to live to high concentrations
of lawyers at another time... just kidding) As a result, we have listed
the school districts where we could, and administrative services for the
state, so you can find the information for area you are interested in
easily yourself. If we have missed something, please feel free to contact us and we will update the list.

Accreditation of Private Schools in Florida:
Accreditation is not a state function and state law does not require
private schools to be accredited. The following points about
accreditation are important for parents and students to know when
choosing a private school.
